Charles (Chuck) E. Lafferty, 79 of St. Louis, Mo on December 1, 2010. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Thomas), his bride of 50 years. A terrific dad to his daughters Suzanne (John) Hayes, Karen (Norman) Fernandez, Lindsay (Jamien) Hawkins, and sons Thomas (Kimberly), Shawn (Jackie), and loving grandfather of 8; also survived by two sisters and a brother.
After serving in the Air Force in the Korean War, he graduated from Yale University, and began a career with IBM and most recently enjoyed selling real estate. He loved playing tennis and vacationing with his family in Michigan. He was an intelligent and gentle man with an infectious sense of humor and an optimist to the end.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church, reception following. Contributions appreciated to the Kidney Cancer Association.
