Loving husband for 60 years of Anne Ferrenbach Ryan and father of John Ryan (Ann) and Carole McCabe (Mark); grandfather of Margaret (John), Lisa, Frank, Katie (Tony), Neil and Jimmy; great-grandfather of Catherine, Mac and Tommy and dear brother of Joanne Dorsey.
He was born in Westfield, N.J. on 2/28/25. Neil graduated from Georgetown University where he met the love of his life, Anne. He served in the US Navy Amphibious Forces for forty months in WWII in both the Mediterranean Campaign and in the Pacific Theater. He has been a longtime member of the Racquet Club and Algonquin Golf Club and a participant in the VP Fair and Parade.
Services: Funeral from KRIEGSHAUSER WEST Mortuary, 9450 Olive Blvd., Monday, August 13, 2012, 9:15 a.m. to Church of the Annunziata, 925 Cella & Clayton Rds. for a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
