David Jack Menendez, Sr., age 79, of Saint Louis, Missouri entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 5, 2022. David was born July 29, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri. Dear son of Anna Jane Menendez (nee Bock) and the late Angel Menendez. Beloved husband of the late Carol E. Menendez (nee Mueller). Loving father of David J. (Robin) Menendez, Jr. and Kelly M. (Stephen) Kent. Cherished grandfather of Jason L. (Amanda) Menendez, Justin M. Menendez, Jacob N. Menendez, David R. (Stephanie) Erger and Jacklyn M. Erger and great grandfather of Henry D. Menendez, Wyatt R. Menendez and Evelyn L. Menendez. Dearest brother of Donald J. (Kathy) Menendez and the late Daniel Menendez. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend of many.
David proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps as well as protecting and serving our community for many years as a police officer in the City of St. Louis.
