Sometime during the night on Sunday, December 2, "Grandma Dot" passed away peacefully in her sleep, five months shy of making it to 100. Dorothy overcame many obstacles in her life, becoming an orphan at age eight, losing her husband at age 62 and having to bury her daughter and son-in-law. Even after going through all of this she had an incredible outlook on life. She always found a positive in everything and never complained about anything. Even at age 99, while at the Lake of the Ozarks this past summer, she sat in a chair on the deck with a cigarette in one hand and a Margarita in the other, sunbathing. She wanted to get a tan so that when she came back to her retirement home she would look well-traveled. She had a witty personality who was always saying things that made everyone laugh. She will be greatly missed by all.
