Born in Buffalo, New York to the late John Joseph and Angeline Cascina Cappello; beloved husband of the late Genevieve Mendola Cappello; dear father of Thomas Emanuel (the late Joan), James Paul (Kristine), Sharon Alice (Mark) Heininger, Mary Ellen, Paul Stephen (Rebecca), Stephen Mark (Fanita), Matthew "Matt" (Sheila), and the late John Joseph "Buzz" (Barbara) and Jimmy Cappello; our dear Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle and cousin.
Emanuel was a veteran of WWII as a Technical Sergeant in the 392 Bomber Group for the US Army Air Corps. He participated in thirty-five operational bombing missions over Europe as an Engineer on a B-24 “Liberator” airplane.
