Late to share here but want to express my deepest condolences. I met Parks during a very challenging time during my life and we went through quite the experience together in Minnesota. Parks had a very contagious big personality and a very good heart. A very unique individual, some of the best and most unique experiences in my life were shared with him, including when he joined me and my family for my birthday dinner when they visited me (I think this was 2013). I became a yogi while we were friends, and he joined me for my first yoga classes ever and laughed in my face when I would smoke cigarettes afterwards. My heart continues to go out to his family, and the only thing I can offer is to proceed in life keeping his spirit close at all times. Namaste.

Parks,  May you be in God's loving arms and at eternal rest.  I think of you every day and pray for your family in their daily grief of not being able to talk to you, hug you, laugh with you, cry with you and share life with you.  They will carry you in their hearts, forever.

You brought so much joy to my Colin's life.  Your smile lit up the room and between you and Col, all I could do was laugh because you both were so darn funny.  I know the pain your family feels and I just know you and Col are watching us.  Blessings, Parks.

Parks was the most supportive friend I have ever had. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to make me and everyone he knew smile. He came to my house in Cape Cod to spend time with me when I needed a friend even when it meant him missing out on some jobs. Parks was the most caring and accepting person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was so generous and I always felt special in his presence. Parks was a creative dreamer who would often come up with business ideas with me and wouldn’t hesitate to  pick me up in his Harley when I was feeling blue and take me out for a nice time on the town. He was the only person who wouldn’t allow me to wallow in my depression and he would be the first to point out my strengths. I witnessed Parks  help strangers  in need and stand up for the people that were close to him. I wish to send my deepest condolences to his family and  I wish that I was there for him as he was there for me.  

To my beautiful Parks Terry ... I was blessed to have been able to know your beautiful soul ... You always had a way of bringing a huge (the biggest) smile to my face ... At the end of every conversation we had, despite the  BS that was happening in both our lives, Parks ended with giggles and a simple, “I love you G Butts, goodnight” ... You loved my love for animals/dogs  (esp Stanley), and you always made sure I knew how much I meant to you and this thing called life ... You loved me for me, and I for you. You never not answered my calls, you never judged me, I never judged you, it was as simple as you just were my Parks and I was your G Butts ...  I thank God for having you in my life for as long as I did everyday.  Until I get to squeeze you again my love ... I love you ... Cheers!

Parks Terry-From walking into Tom Sederburg’s back porch on that hot, Weds., July 26th day of 2017, along with Mark & Tracy Kelly in route to the zoo you instantly had me laughing with your bent bill (hat), duds (the famous Parks Terry boots) & the cross necklace, I knew from the start I could be friends with you. Thank you Tom Sederburg for introducing me to Parks Terry. I will never forget that night & will always cherish the time spent with you from the in depth conversations, workouts, times spent @ my house, the lingo we shared & the social events. Thank you for introducing me to one of your close friends & now a great friend to me the night I met GERTRUDE, GERT, GERTIE Carlisle!!! How much havoc did all three of us wreak that night?
Although I met you in 2017 it was the similarities I shared with you that had nothing to do with sports that made the friendship very unique & different than most. Parks-You were a TRUE friend to me, not an acquaintance from the day I met you until the last day I spoke to you a few days prior to your passing. Parks Terry, your memories will last a lifetime!!   U DIG? Bye Felicia! Cletus! Until we meet again, my friend!

 A boisterous entrance with a smile that filled the room--that will always be the Parks we know and love. Eyes that sparkled and shined with excitement as he told his story or listened to ours. A loud laugh followed by a "Let's Do It" or "Let's Make that Happen" or "It's Happening Baby" could often be overheard in a large crowded room when Parks was speaking to people. It was that optimism and genuine zest for life that drew people to Parks--his sincere compassion for others solidified his friendships forever. Parks influenced others to live life to their fullest by showcasing his spontaneous energy and contagious smile, and more so, his belief that anything was possible, that hard work paid off and if all else failed, " It's Doable--Let's make that happen"! To Martha Victoria Wolfner, Richard Thornton Terry, Margaret, and the extended families---The Jones family sends you our prayers and a reminder that Parks touched our hearts forever, and our fondest memories of him will last our lifetime.  

It was a teacher's dream come true to have Parks in my classroom. That smile, personality, eyes, love for life knocked me over. I have a vivid memory of him playing on the left side in the back of the room looking at him and thinking he has truly touched my heart. I fell in love with him and thought about him often when I would have memories of Oak Hill.
  A few years ago, I was at a gas station and saw an extremely handsome man who had the face of a grown up Parks. I asked his name, told him mine, and in a second there was that smile and I was in a big hug. He wanted to know about my life. Can you imagine?  He took the time and you could tell he was genuinely interested. What a blessing to see him and I called Betty Horn the moment I got in the car.
  Martha, you always had Margaret and Parks foremost on your mind. Truly, you are an amazing mother. What a Mama Bear!

I have the picture still in my mind of meeting Parks.  He was with his Mom, Dad and sister. I was a Kindergarten teacher at Oak Hill school and the family was taking a look.  From the moment I met him, I loved him.  Ralph Lauren to a "t", the littlest dock siders you could imagine, but the blue eyes took over.  Such a sweet, polite and fun child.  He became part of the school and I was so grateful to have him in my class.  I loved his family and sister and the corners of my mouth turn up at the sound of his name.

I am sending so much love to the entire Wolfner/Terry family. I am thinking about Parks' most amazing mother, Martha and his incredibly loving sister, Margaret, and praying continuously for some comfort at this most difficult time. The memories I have of Parks are so vivid from the earlier days in ocean reef (1990's) until the most special time this past Christmas dinner. I still can see us all sitting around the dining room table talking about the childhoods that were shared, catching up on the in-between when apart, and then the magic of all being together again and picking up right where we left off. The laughter was loud and contagious and after dinner, we sent roman candles towards heaven where I know you are wrapped in God's loving arms and truly at peace. Parks, your kindness, your love of family, big smile, and easy banter will always have the most indelible mark when thinking about all the memories I was blessed to have with you. I miss you so much. Parks was a very kind and caring person. I only got to know him for a few short years, but I will always remember his smile. I never saw him without a smile on his face. He had one of those contagious smiles to. And with his sense of humor he could make anyone laugh. He will be missed by so many. It was a privilege to know him. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Parks was a special kind of person. One of a kind was always trying to do anything to help.  He was one person who could handle my Rottweiler. He loved that dog he actually took care of him for a summer and would always make sure he was taking care of. Parks and I grew together and had a one of a kind friendship . I can't believe this happened to such a great person but we didn't know what he was fighting with in his life . May he finally be at rest.. He will be missed by many.

I met Parks on June 9th, 2019 on vacation with my friends in the Keys. 
I can't put into words how sincere and special this guy was. We met through our mutual friend, Troy Phillipps, and spent several days laughing and enjoying so many fun times. 
A couple of memories I will never forget:
1. We were taking the 61' Bertram out with a small crew. I could feel the sea sickness coming on not long after we left the marina, but was mentally WILLING myself to keep it together in front of this seasoned crew. After awhile, I tried to sneak off to the cabin down below because I knew I wouldn't be able to maintain much longer. I'm laying on one of the beds with cold wash rags wrapped around my head. Not a minute later, Parks comes barreling through the door, white as a ghost, and bellows, "You sick too, Magee?!?" We spent the rest of the ride trying to talk each other through it and trading cold wash rags. 
2. When my vacation was almost over and everyone was exchanging goodbyes, Parks was the last friend I talked to. He ran out behind me to help put my things in the truck and gave me such a warm send-off. I'll never forget us laughing and talking about how great the last couple of days had been. He was the kind of person who would open himself up and share a deep sentiment from his soul with you. I'll never forget his beautiful words about the big man upstairs and how lucky and blessed we were to enjoy a couple of days in the Keys. 
Even though I just met Parks, I am so forever grateful I had the chance. 
He had such a beautiful smile and soul.

Martha, Richard and Margaret,

I am so saddened by the loss of Parks, and I can only imagine the pain you are feeling. My heart goes out to all of you. 

I knew Parks for over about 20 years, first as a neighbor, then as a close friend of cousins, as a student at Churchill, where my children attended and now 3 grandchildren attend, and later just around town. As I’ve talked to friends over the past few days, everyone regarded Parks as a wonderful young man, with great spirit, who they really liked. Parks was exceedingly polite, thoughtful and always had something interesting going on or useful to share to make every time we were together a joy and usually a good laugh. 

We will never understand the challenges that Parks faced; they are different for everyone and we handle them in our own way. As Parks struggled, he never lost the character and great qualities that I remember him for, and I respect Parks for the life he led. Though our loving God‘s plan for Parks on earth is ended, one day we will better understand his purpose for Parks and how he intended us to benefit from it.  

I will surely miss him. God bless him.

Parks was one of many people I can truly say made me laugh harder than anyone. He was there for my worst times, and best. I brought him into my home and wanted to show him how much he meant to me and to turn around a life that was made of happiness in which I was just beginning. He was not my friend, but my brother and as one of my statements insanely to these kind of people, "you don't have to be blood to be my family". I will miss you so much and know you are here in spirit to help me through these times of pain. I love ya man....rest easy brother. 

Last time we talked to you, you said you were coming to visit.. 
We didn't believe your words and told you:
"you always say you are coming and then you never do!". 
You answered: 
"Which month you want? which month you what? you name it and I'll make it happen!". 
Let's do this Parks, the answer is: every month.
We'll whisper every month your name, and you'll make it happen, you will be there with us every time we call.

It is with a very heavy heart that I recognize the passing of a dear friend and family member, Parks Terry.
The world has lost a bright light in Parks, one that those of us who knew him could see clearly in his inviting smile, his gentle demeanor, his compassion for others and his remarkable authenticity. He was as genuine a guy as I’ve met in my own journey, and sadly, one of a kind.
If there is any solace in his departure, it is that Parks will never again know pain, sadness or uncertainty. He has been called home after living out God’s plan for him, and will, no doubt, be rewarded for a life that leaves a legacy of kindness and love.
At such a difficult time for the rest of us, I am truly relieved to know that Parks is at peace, blessed to have had the opportunity to call him a friend, and certain that we can all learn from Parks’ time here with us. I only pray we were all paying attention to those gifts he imparted to us.
For now we will mourn his heartbreaking loss and hold his memory close to our hearts. In time, however, we will all heal as we are able, and learn to celebrate his life. We will speak of him again, replacing tears with pride and laughter, as we reminisce about our time with him. We will again marvel at his kind disposition that we all admired and loved. And we will all be ever thankful to have had him enrich our lives.
May those days that seem so terribly far off, find and comfort us before long.
Rest in Peace, Parks Terry. You will be sorely missed, but not forgotten. Even in death, you will live on through the caring actions of others whom you selflessly helped to shape in a positive way.
Your legacy is safe, and by the Grace of God on this night and forever more, so are you.

"Mr. P".... Where do I begin?  When he was young I always said that he was a man trapped in a kid's body.  Later he was more like a kid trapped in a man's body. Attempting to drive a golf cart at two and following Uncle Ivan over the moguls at three, he embraced life with Joy and No fear. He had a kind heart and will always be in mine.
