Thomas Allison Moody

Thomas Allison Moody, age 85, passed Easter Sunday April 24, 2011. Beloved husband of Helen Moody (nee Rogan) for 61 years. Dear father of Patricia (Michael) Maher, Thomas (Paula Morris) Moody, Michael Moody and David Moody; Dearest Grandfather of Holly (Robert) Nemec, Brian (Keri) Maher and Sean Moody; Great PaPa to Lily and Madison Nemec; dear brother-in-law of Pat Rogan, and respected uncle, cousin and friend.

Tom was a lifelong resident of Ferguson, Mo, an Army veteran of WWII, serving with the 41st Division (Jungleers) in the South Pacific where he was awarded numerous decorations, including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was an active Church member at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, serving as Director of Acolytes, a member of the Vestry and Food Pantry volunteer. Tom retired after 40 years of employment at McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Corp, and he and Helen enjoyed frequent traveling and photography. He indulged his passion for aircraft as a member of several Radio Control Clubs and served the City of Ferguson as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

Funeral service Friday April 29, 2011 11:00 am at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church 33 N. Clay, Ferguson. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation Thursday April 28, 2011 4-8 PM White-Mullen Mortuary.
