We appreciate you all coming out to remember Vince and giving us the opportunity to tell you a little more about him. I know he would have been honored to know all of you cared enough to attend.
Vince was born in St. Louis to the late Ignazio and Rose, both of which were born in Casteltermini, Sicily Italy. He and his late sister Clara, were raised on the Hill. They had a great deal of love and respect for their parents, which carried out throughout their lives.
Vince was a very proud man of his Italian heritage, enjoying his passions like dancing, Italian food, grilling and spending time with his family and friends.
On June 14th, Vince and his lovely wife Josephine, celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. Vince was a proud father of four children and three grandchildren. He took great delight in his grandchildren.
He worked at Everready Appliance Manufacturing Company, as a supervisor for over 50 years, always a hard worker and good provider for his family.
Vince was an honorable, kind, generous and loving man to all he met. He had a great sense of humor and was content in all circumstances. We had the pleasure of hearing him tell stories about lifelong friendships and listening to his advice. He would light up the room with his charismatic smile.
He had a strong faith, a blessed life and lived life to the fullest. He was the world’s greatest husband, dad, father-in-law, uncle, grandfather and friend. He taught us so many lessons in life and was loved by all.
Vince trusted in the Lord, and the love and light of Jesus shined through him.
To his very last days, he lived with humility, dignity and strength until the Lord finally called him home.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life and thank God for his beautiful long life of 95 years.
