

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ada (Gilman) Millstein.
She was a proud graduate of Salem High School. She sang for 50 years for the Paul Madore Chorale and was a soloist for Congregation Shirat Hayam, formerly Temple Beth El of Swampscott and also was a soloist for the Order of the Eastern Star and the North Shore and the Salem Philharmonic Orchestras. She was a legal secretary for 58 years for Attorney Loring Paul Fluke of Lynn. In addition, she appeared on WESX Radio of Salem and WBZ Television as well as performing at many private functions and social programs for organizations, where she created personalized lyrics depicting a person’s life journey, which were often poignant and humorous. She led the Tuesday minyan services for many years, and she also took a great deal of pride in performing at the Vatican for the Pope. She performed the National Anthem at the Lynn and the Peabody City Halls for opening ceremonies. She was recognized by the Greater Lynn Bar Association as the recipient of the Richard Adamo Memorial Award for her outstanding accomplishments on behalf of the John P. McGloing Memorial Lecture Series.
She was the most loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, especially known for her kindness, generosity and compassion for her family and community.
She is survived by her fiancé Jay Spielberg of Bedford, NH; her children, Gloria Sontz of Pawtucket, RI; Max Sontz of Lynn, MA; Marjorie Varshawsky of Sacramento, CA; Myra Schnepp and her husband Robert of Falmouth, MA; Michael Kramer of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and Alan Segal and his wife Deborah of Chelsea, MA; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was the dear aunt of Jeffrey Feldman and his wife Alisa of Georgia, Raphael Liberty and his wife Kristen of Ipswich, MA, and Samuel Liberty and his wife Janine of Salem, MA. She also leaves her former daughter in law Cheryl Sontz of Rockland, MA, and many other nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Sontz, Eddie Kramer, and Charles Segal, her sister Sarah Liberty, and her brother-in-law Ted Liberty.
She loved the Jewish culture and was loved in return by her community. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched.
A funeral service will be held at Congregation Shirat Hayam on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at 55 Atlantic Ave, Swampscott, MA 01907 followed by interment at Shirat Hayam (Temple Beth El) Cemetery, 506 Lowell Street, Peabody, MA 01960
Shiva will be observed immediately following the interment at Congregation Shirat Hayam until 6:00 PM. Shiva will also take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday again from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Community Room at Ann's residence, 1 Carol Way, Salem, MA 01970
