The loving sister of Howard Cramer of S. Monica, CA. Dear daughter of the late Benjamin and Lena (Soloman) Cramer of Delray Beach, FL. Beloved Nana to Lia and Benjamin Applebaum of Peabody, MA and Emily Hulak and Zoe Hulak and Cam Cyker of Brookline, MA. Dear mother-in-law to Lori (Brown) Hulak of Waltham, MA and the late Scott Applebaum (2022) of Peabody, MA.
Arlene grew up in Chelsea, Massachusetts, graduated from Chelsea High School, achieved her bachelors from Boston University, and raised her family in Peabody, MA. She spent many years as a devoted employee of the late Boston Regional Medical Center in Stoneham and Hunt Memorial Hospital. She loved playing solitaire and mahjong with friends and traveling with her husband, Jerry. She cherished her time spent with family and friends, often asking “are we making memories yet?”
A graveside service for Arlene will be held on January 15th, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Temple Beth Shalom Cemetery, 49 Buxton Road, Danvers, MA, 01923. A shiva will be held at the Boston Marriott Peabody, 8A Centennial Drive, Peabody, MA, 01960 following the service from 2:15pm-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, Arlene’s family is asking for donations to be made to either the American Lung Association or Hadassah, The Women's Zionist Organization of America, Inc.
