

IRVING GOLDENBERG
Loving husband of Ruth Sidell Goldenberg, born June 17, 1924 passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 8. Son of the late Rebecca and Isaac Goldenberg, brother of the late Jack, William, and Benjamin Goldenberg, Lee Glazer, Dora Tofsky, and Esther Bloch. Graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1942. Attended Northeastern University prior to enlisting in the Air Force. Irving served in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
Irving was the adored patriarch of his family - father and father-in-law to Shelley and Dr. Robert Freedman, Marla and Alan Stone, Lisa and George Katz. Beloved grandfather of Brett and Aviva Freedman, Andrew and Olga Freedman, Russell Freedman, Jeffrey, Michael, James, and Douglas Stone, Gillian, and Gregory Katz. Cherished great-grandfather of Maya Sage Freedman.
Irving was the founder of Shelmar, Inc. of Wakefield, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service Friday, August 10 at 11:00 AM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, Vinnin Square, Swampscott. Interment will follow at Shirat Hayam Cemetery, Lowell St., Peabody, MA. Friday afternoon memorial observance will be held at the home of Lisa and George Katz until 4:00 PM. Saturday evening memorial observance at his late residence 7:00-9:00 PM and Sunday 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM.
