

Judith Elinore (Marsden) Mazzetta Gibely 81 of State College, PA, formerly of Beverly, MA, passed away with her family by her side. Judy lived a happy life at Elmcroft Senior Living Facility in State College, PA where she lived out her last year in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Judy was born and resided most of her life in Beverly Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Walter H. Marsden and Mary (Molly) D. (Thorne) Marsden. In June 1952 she married Albert Mazzetta of Essex, MA. They had two children, Steven M. Mazzetta and his wife Jean of Beverly, MA and Cynthia A (Mazzetta) Kochakian and her husband Richard of Patton Township PA. In 1970, she married Victor H. Gibely of Peabody, MA who preceded her in death, August 1994. They had been married for 24 years.
Also, Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Gwendolyn Cassidy and her brother, Walter H. Marsden, Jr, her nephew, Kevin Cassidy and niece Julie Marsden.
Judy worked at Kaisers Sandwich Shop in Beverly during the 1960’s where she met many friends who she would still remember long after she left. She knew everyone from there and everyone knew her. During the 1970 and 80’s, she worked at Parker Brothers Games in Salem, MA. She was then hired as an office worker for the North Shore Technical School in Beverly-Danvers. Working in the Culinary Arts Department, she met many students and teachers alike. She learned much about food prep and technique which she loved. Occasionally she would see them after they had graduated and would talk of ‘the days when…’ She loved running into the people she grew to know and care about. She also had wonderful relationships with the teachers whom she respected so much.
Judy had many hobbies, boating was among her favorites. The ‘Lil Shaver’, ‘Seahorse’ and ‘Misty’ was among her favorite places to spend time. She and her husband loved to fish off the Beverly-Salem-Gloucester Harbor waterways. Earning her some great ‘weigh-in’s’ of which she was so proud. She was an avid shopper, knitter, and loved to crochet.
Her greatest loves were her grandchildren whom she adored. Jennifer Lynn (Mazzetta) her husband Joseph Mulligan, Haverhill, MA, Amanda Judith (Mazzetta) and her husband Ned Eisenberg of Bradford, MA. Her favorite and only grandson’ Michael Kochakian and his wife Valerie Ann (Maher)of State College PA, Jocelyn Lee Kochakian-Negron and her husband Christopher of Jersey City, NJ. Her great grandchildren were her heart of hearts and she loved them like no other. Joseph Patrick and Liam Steven Mulligan, Emily Mya and Ethan Michael Kochakian and Baby Kochakian-Negron due in August.
She was a loving Aunt to Cheryl (Cassidy) Michaud, Susan (Cassidy) Smith, Mark Cassidy, Paul Gemmellaro and many other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Funeral Services at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10 AM. Interment at Sons of Jacob Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers, monitory donations in Judy’s name can be made to: Elmcroft Senior Living Facility, 150 Farmstead Lane
