Lee Richard White

Salem — Lee Richard White, 55 years, of Salem, formerly of Newton, entered into rest unexpectedly Sunday evening, June 22, 2014 at the North Shore Medical Center–Salem Hospital. He was the loving soul mate of Claire-Marie Gauthier. Born in Waltham, dear son of Natalie (Jackson) LeBlanc and the late Frederick LeBlanc. Lee grew up in Clinton and was a graduate of Bridgewater State College. He earned his Master’s degree in social work from Boston College.

Mr. White had been employed at World Wide Staffing and M.R.I. for many years and most recently had been employed at the Hawthorne Hotel and the Peabody Essex Museum, both in Salem.

Lee was loved by all who knew him and touched everyone he met. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by his loving family and friends. Lee was such a creative, brilliant and lovng human being. Mr. White was a talented artist, gardener and enjoyed cooking, as he was an incredible baker and grill master. He was an avid golfer and loved animals. Lee was an amazing sailor and fisherman; he loved hiking, camping, and geocoaching. Lee had a special place in his heart for his daughter Mollie, she was truly his pride and joy and their relationship was very much defined by Beatles music.

In addition to his soul mate, Claire and mother, Natalie, he is survived by his devoted daughter, Mollie White; his loving sister, Sue Ann Henrickson and her wife, Sharon; his former wife and best friend, Julie Whitcomb; three dear nieces and nephews, Alex, Ryan and Jacob Marshall and his extended Gauthier family and friends, including Roland Gauthier Jr., Paulette Theriault, Anne Lucia Gauthier, Marc S. Gauthier Sr., Daniel H. Gauthier Sr. and their families.
