Louise Regina “Weezie” Gilmore (Beck), 83, of Georgetown, MA, formerly of Swampscott, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 15, 1942 to Abraham and Adele Minnoff (Glicher).
Abraham passed away in 1944 while serving in WWII, when Louise was 2 years old. Adele later married Max Beck who adopted and lovingly raised her. After growing up in Brooklyn, she moved to Philadelphia where she started her family. She relocated to her longtime home in Swampscott, MA in the early 1970s where she raised her family and met some of her most cherished friends. Later in her life, she moved to Georgetown, MA to be closer to her family where she resided for the last 20 years.
Louise spent many years as a successful realtor in Swampscott, Lynn, and Salem and as a member of the Swampscott League of Women Voters, joining in 1974. Louise enjoyed gardening (her garden was envied by all), baking, making latkes for holiday dinners, her daily coffee, rooting for the Patriots and Red Sox, and was happiest spending time with her family.
Louise will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her smile, strength, selflessness, quick wit, intelligence, loyalty to friends and family, and the many great memories she regularly shared with loved ones.
Louise is lovingly survived by her three children, Josh and his wife Susan, of Georgetown, MA, Ben and his wife Sarah, of Norfolk, VA, and Rachel and her husband Jan (Butch) of Georgetown, MA; her former spouse, close friend, and unofficial chauffeur, David, of Meredith, NH; her four grandchildren, Lily, Anna, Lou and Alice; brothers Warren and Charlie Beck; and her beloved cat, Phoebe.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Adviniacare in Newburyport, MA for taking such great care of Weezie in her final months. We would like to make special mention of Valerie, Kim, and Rosa who provided her with such comfort and extra love.
Services for Louise will be private.
