

Marion Gershaw, 63 years, of Middleton, formerly of Lynn, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, July 19th at Salem Hospital while surrounded by friends and family. She was the beloved wife of Robert Gershaw, together 47 years, and daughter of Hilda and Harry Azer. She was employed as a medical transcriptionist for over 30 years before retiring several years ago. She regularly attended the book club at the Flint library and played Scrabble at the Danvers library. She was a devoted reader of books and the news, a talented artist, and in her youth she loved to sail. She is survived by her two loving children, Alex and Sarah Gershaw, her beloved brother, Paul Azer, and her aunt and uncle, Barbara and Jack Smuckler. She graduated from Lynn Classical high school, majored in Psychology at Boston University, received Bachelors in Social Work at Salem State, Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from Northeast University, and was an honorable mention as a National Merit Scholar.
Graveside services will be held at Pride of Lynn Cemetery, Lynn, on Monday, July 28th at 1 PM. Memorial observance will be at the home of Gail Clemenzi in Middleton following interment.
