I spent some time with Michael and Rochelle at Chris kiederer’s wedding. Though Michael was having a little trouble ambulating at that time, he was ever the “old school” gentleman to those around him. I remember his love and care for “Pooh bear” and all his small kindnesses to some of the group who had fallen aside. Truly a loyal “man for all seasons”.   Kari Russo-Richardson.

Michael was one of the most kind, caring,  and genuine people I have ever known.  I  knew Mike for almost 50 years, and I have to say it was a pleasure to have known him. May you rest in peace now,  Mike, with no pain!!  I loved you lots, Anita Cutler 

I have two really clear memories of Michael, one was when I was visiting the US in my early 20s, he took me for lunch at a floating restaurant and we had a really long chat about what I was going to do in life and how his life events had led had him to where he was. I also recall how at home and welcome Michael and the family made me feel whilst visiting.

The other was when my mum was very ill, and that he travelled across the Atlantic to see her despite being quite ill himself.

Both of these I  think tell you a lot about the kind of person Michael was, and although we're often a family geographically distant, he'll be missed.

I was saddened with the news of Mike passing. I am sorry I was unable to attend today, but my prays are with you and the family. 
i’ve been think today of all the fun times we shared going year after year to the Cape and then Newport.  Especially the motor bike fiasco on Martha’s Vineyard.
