Nathan was born in Riga, Latvia on May 29th, 1953. He emigrated to the U.S to achieve the "American Dream" at the young age of 19. Trained in engineering, he became a lifelong home builder and a mentor to so many in the industry. On any given morning, one could find Nathan on his early morning walks to Phillips Beach with his beloved dog, Lyla, or eating his "Abba Bagel" at Evans Deli. He was a passionate buff of history and politics and wanted to see the world a better, safer place for his grandchildren. He leaves behind an entire community of friends, family, and neighbors that knew and respected him, a fervor to honor and protect Israel and the Jewish community, and a legacy of hard work and dedication to family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rachel Jacobson; his children, Daniel Jacobson of Marblehead, MA, Eric and Toby Jacobson of Merrimac, MA and Emily and Aaron Schreibman of Marblehead, MA; and his four grandchildren, Ella, Maya, Julian and Ethan, all of whom were unmistakably the joys of his life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
