Beloved wife of the late Harvey Winer.

Devoted mother of Gary, Gerald, and Mark Winer.

Cherished grandmother of Marcia, Jennifer, Alexandra, and Gavrielle Winer; Rachel and Rebecca Winer; and Jack and Anne Winer.

Loving sister of the late Alan Risman.

Dear daughter of the late Murray and Ruth Risman.

Phyllis grew up in Winthrop, MA, and graduated from Winthrop High School. Later in life, she proudly earned her degree with honors from Emmanuel College. She raised her family in Winthrop, Peabody, and Lynnfield, MA.

She was a dedicated homemaker and later worked as a recruiter and academic advisor at Marian Court College in Swampscott before retiring. Phyllis also volunteered for many years with the American Red Cross in their Health Care Training programs. She loved her family deeply and treasured every moment spent with family and friends.

A funeral service for Phyllis will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem, MA. Interment will follow at Old Tifereth Israel of Winthrop Cemetery, 232 Fuller St., Everett, MA.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or online at their official website.
