Priscilla (Phillips) Blumberg – of Peabody, entered into rest on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Blumberg. The loving sister of the late Sidney Phillips, Ralph Phillips, Dorothy Eaton, Saul Phillips, Bernard Phillips, Morris Phillips, Howard Phillips, Molly Torgenson and Anne Gilman. Dear daughter of the late David and Bessie (Seif) Phillips. Priscilla is survived by many treasured nieces and nephews.
Priscilla grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. She married Melvin in a small intimate ceremony in her brother’s home in Marblehead and then moved to Peabody. Priscilla held jobs as a bank secretary, at the telephone company, and also in stocks and bonds brokerage. She loved animals, in particular her childhood dog Buddy and her niece’s golden doodle, Lily. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the west coast to visit her family and touring the areas around Los Angeles and Seattle. Above all else she valued her time with her family, having them over in earlier years for cookouts in her yard and swimming in her pool. Priscilla will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Due to regulation imposed by the Coronavirus Pandemic a private graveside service was held at Shirat Hayam Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides from Freedom Home Care, who cared for Priscilla for eleven years.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Pan Mass Challenge, go directly to Howard Gray’s page or use the following link https://egifts.pmc.org/HG0004.
