Born in Malden Hospital to George and Sylvia Kramer and raised in Lynn, MA with her brother Stephen. She was a 1957 graduate of Lynn Classical High School and a 1959 graduate of the Chandler School for Women in Boston, MA. Priscilla later went back to school, and in 1999 received her Associate’s degree from North Shore Community College with honors.
Priscilla worked for many years as the receptionist, “the face,” of Kindred Hospital in Peabody, MA. Many people referred to her as the ambassador of Kindred. She relished and enjoyed totally her position at Kindred. Priscilla helped guide many families through difficult times of their own as Kindred was a critical care hospital. She received numerous employee service awards while at Kindred and was a valued member of their community.
Priscilla was the beloved mother of Deborah Beth McWade, Esq. of Saugus, MA and Matthew David McWade and his wife Selena of Swampscott, MA. Priscilla was the devoted wife of the late William L. Quigley who passed away in 2017. They shared 30 years of marriage. Priscilla was also the former wife of the late George McWade. Education played a major role in Priscilla’s life and was very important to her.
While raising her young family in Saugus, MA she served as President of the P.T.O. at the Sweetser School while her two children, Deborah and Matthew, were students there. Priscilla’s proactive role as P.T.O. President brought about change that enhanced all the students’ elementary school experience in those tender early years. Everyone who knew Priscilla also knew that her “happy place” was lying in the sun at Fisherman’s Beach in Swampscott, MA all summer long. She will be missed by all who knew her.
