AVIS DE DÉCÈS

S. Joel Marron

18 août 194730 juillet 2021

S. Joel Marron entered in to rest on July 30, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s and Parkinson’s dementia. He was 73. Born Steven Joel Marron on August 18, 1947 in Beverly, MA, he was a life-long South Peabody resident. Joel spent his entire career in the building industry (as a builder with his uncle Leonard Marron, as the assistant building inspector for the City of Peabody, and as the owner of Templar Homes). He always had a twinkle in his eye, a wry sense of humor and a willingness to help anyone. Joel believed business was done with a handshake; and would tell anyone who listened that his beloved wife of 49 years Mary (Santangelo) Marron was “THE BEST.” As a racing enthusiast, he was so happy to co-own racehorses with his kids and spend an afternoon with the family at Suffolk Downs. In addition to Mary, Joel is survived by his daughter Jennifer Marron Marinella and son-in-law Craig Marinella, his son Jonathan Marron and daughter-in-law Kate (Doherty) Marron, and his grandchildren Hannah and Steven Marron. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Frances (Toll) Marron and his brother Harvey Marron.

Joel will be laid to rest in a graveside service on Tuesday, August 3rd at 10:00 am at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 Cedar Grove Ave, Peabody, MA. Shiva will be held at the Marron residence on August 3rd following the service to 7pm and on August 4th from 2pm-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, please lend someone a hand the way Joel always did; or make a donation in his memory to Compassus Hospice, 790 Turnpike St Suite 202, North Andover, MA 01845; or the Brentwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, 56 Liberty St, Danvers, MA 01923; or to your favorite charity.
