Sheldon Bennett

Sheldon "Shelly" Bennett, a beloved member of the Swampscott community, passed away on August 31, 2024. Shelly was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Born in a time of great change, Shelly served with honor in the Korean War, demonstrating a commitment to his country that would define his character. Following his military service, he built a successful career in the Advertising Specialty Business, leaving a mark on the industry and the many people he worked with.

He was the loving husband of Sharon (White) Bennett, with whom he shared many years of happiness. Shelly was a proud father to Matthew Bennett and Melissa Brauner of New York. His family continued to grow as he became a cherished grandfather to Zachary Brauner and his fiancée Christina Brooks, Jake Brauner, and Anthony Morris. His legacy extends further with his great-grandchildren, Jackson and Sophia Brauner.

Shelly was predeceased by his brothers, Howard Bernstein and George Bernstein. He will be laid to rest alongside his late brother Howard.

Services will be held privately. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
