

In 1945, on her 12th birthday, she invited Bill Stanton to her party and that turned out to be a lifetime commitment. Bill and Annette were married in Redlands, California on November 26th, 1953. They were married 47 years. They lived in San Diego California, Seattle Washington, and San Bernadino California where they owned and operated Sunset Travel. After retiring they moved to Salem Oregon in 1992.
Annette was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Daughters of Redlands, Soroptimist of San Bernardino. As a childrens Librarian at Rowe Library for 8 years, Storytime was an adventure for all. She was President of the Public Library Association, and was awarded the achievement of the year.
After Bills death in 2001, Annette found the Contemporary Choir and the Adult Choir of Queen of Peace. She used her library experience to become a “Storyteller and More” at Queen of Peace and Parrish middle School. The children gave as much happiness to her as she gave to them.
Annette is survived by her Son, Sean (Doreen) Stanton, her daughter, Kimmie Stanton of Redlands, a granddaughter, Katie Stanton.
Funeral Mass at Queen of Peace will be September 20, 2022 at 11:00am. Burial will be in Redlands, California.
