Bruce Roberts, 89, passed away December 5, 2020 from COVID-19. He was born in Hanford, California on July 2, 1931 to Marvin and Arly Roberts. He was the youngest of three children. In 1950 he joined the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. In 1953, he met Patricia Roberts and they married on January 19, 1955. They moved to Oregon in 1960 and Salem in 1963. He was married to Pat for 63 years, until her passing in 2018. He was also lucky to find love again, six months before his passing, with Connie Richardson. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had a strong Christian faith and worked as a Christian minister for most of his life at various churches throughout Oregon. Bruce was a leader and mentor in his community up until the very end of his life.
He is survived by: his son Marvin (Karen) Roberts, daughter JoAnn (Daniel) Johnson, four grandchildren; Kasey Roberts and husband Jason Daniels, Katy (Chris) Gahlsdorf, Michelle Roberts and husband Nan Liu, and Nathaniel Roberts, and three great-grandchildren; Carson and Macy Gahlsdorf, and Theodosia Roberts.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. He will be placed at Belcrest Memorial Park.
