He was in the U. S. Army, serving in the “Whitecoats” Army Medical Corp at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C., Nov. 30, l963 – June 24, 1965.
Fred attended Pacific Union College in Angwin, Ca for two years, and was undefeated in tennis throughout his college days. He worked as a print-shop pressman at the Adventist Media Headquarters of his church in Newberry Park, Ca. He made time for his passions of tennis, golf, back packing, four wheeling and he held a membership in Billiard Congress of America.
Fred loved spending time with his loving wife, daughters, and church family. Fred was a very nice person with a great sense of humor.
Fred is survived by his two adopted daughters, Susan Crandell and Sandra (David) Romero; and seven grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Angela, Dylan, Michelle, Heather and Sara. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Emma and Brielynn.
A Memorial Service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 9:30 am. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
