Charlene Rae Rickard

Charlene was born in Yakima, Washington. She was the first born to Roy and Carol Tyler. Charlene had a sister, Kathleen (deceased) and a brother, Toby (also deceased). Charlene and family spent time in Tillamook and South Salem Oregon before the family bought The Labish Center Grocery Store and gas station. Charlene graduated from the Labish Center Grade School, went on to Parrish Junior High, then on to the North Salem High where she graduate in 1959. She met her sweet-heart while attending North Salem. Charlene and Sam Rickard got married in the Labish Center Church on August 28th, 1959. The couple eventually bought a home in Keizer, Oregon in 1962, where they had two beautiful children. One boy, Marvin, and a girl, Teresa (deceased). Charlene and Sam were married for 64 wonderful and sometimes challenging years.

The family had a great time traveling all over Oregon, California, and Nevada in their small motorhome. Charlene is survived by her husband, Sam, her son, Marvin and his wife Jackie; two grandchildren, Jarrett, his wife Brittany, Jessica and her husband, William Gauderman; as well as three great grandchildren, Philisity and Ryker Rickard, and Brantley Gauderman.

A funeral service will be held at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service on Saturday, February 24th at 12 PM.
