
Charyl was born in Columbus, Georgia on September 13, 1959 to Richard and Mary Ann Koehler. She was the oldest of three children.
She graduated from South Salem High School in 1978 and worked for the State of Oregon at Fairview Hospital and Training Center until it closed. She briefly worked for VoiceStream (T-Mobile) and found a new career at Wachovia Bank, which is now Wells Fargo, until she had to medically retire.
Charyl is a member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz. She loved reading. Her favorites were Harry Potter, anything about the Titanic, and learning about the Romanov family. Her favorite authors were Danielle Steele and Debbie Macomber. Charyl also collected Barbie dolls, having over 300.
She is predeceased by her grandparents; her mom, Mary Ann; her aunts, Rose Rak, Teresa Rak, Betty Helmig; and her uncles, James Rak, Dale Rubel, and Bernie Pietrok.
Charyl is survived by her dad, Richard Koehler; her brother, Mike Koehler; her sister, Sandy (Paul) Anello; her nephew, James Anello; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Private services were held on April 17th and can be viewed on the Howell, Edwards, Doerksen Facebook page. A Celebration of Life will be held later due to COVID-19 restrictions.
