Born on April 20, 1935, in Yuma, CO, to Mildred and Joseph Simmering. Micki was the ninth of eleven children. She met Melvin J. Staudinger and later married in Cheyenne, WY, on Christmas Day 1950. They immediately moved to Salem and later Keizer, where they created a family with 3 children.
Later in her life, Micki enjoyed living in AZ. She loved creating award-winning paintings and raising Pugs. Her children, Debbie (Ron), Denise (Steve), and Mike (Kathy), remember her as a great homemaker, excellent cook, and loving mother. She has five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Micki was preceded in death by her siblings. She also lost her first husband, Mel, who is the father of her three children and great-grandson Joey. Micki will always be remembered in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3, at 1 p.m. at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem. A celebration will follow immediately at McMenamins Thompson Brewery & Public House, Salem.
