Diane VanDusen was raised on a farm in Rapid City South Dakota as the only daughter to Louie and Darlene Dell. She later moved to Oregon where she graduated from McNary High School. She continued her education at Chemeketa Community College where she obtained her degree in Hospitality Management. She worked as a food service worker for the State of Oregon for over 20 years including at Fairview Mental Hospital and the Oregon State Penitentiary.
Diane enjoyed geneology, cooking and was the queen of arts and crafts. She was a firm believer in family and traditions. She was a regular at family reunions, spent every 4th of July at the coast, hosted Christmas and Thanksgiving every year and much more. However nothing could compare to her joy over being a Grandmother. "Grandma Chica" as she was known to many, was survived by 16 grandchildren, each of them with a special place in her heart. She was also survived by her four children, Jerry Wilson, David Crounse, Stephanie Martin, and Shawna Renollet, and her two brothers, Doug nad Danny Dell. She was preceeded in death by her husbands Douglas Crounse, and Jack VanDusen.
Diane touched everyone that she came into contact with, she was the person who would give you her last dime and the shirt off her back with a smile on her face and not make you feel bad about it. There are not words to express how greatly she will be missed. She will never be forgotton and will forever be in our hearts.
We Love You Mama
