

Dorothy Ann Keillor passed away on Thursday morning, December 12th.
Dorothy was born the fourth of five children on August 2, 1933 in Marshfield, Coos County, Oregon (now Coos Bay) to carpenter Ray Clement Collver and Edna Fay Collver. In her youth she lived on a homestead and rode the Coos River mail boat to attend grade school; the Collver family moved to Eugene where Dorothy graduated from Eugene High School. She achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Ministry at Northwest Christian College, where she met her future husband George Westley Keillor. After graduation Dorothy became the youth director of University Christian Church in Los Angeles, CA. Dorothy and George married in September 1956 at the University Street Church of Christ in Eugene.
Dorothy lived much of her life in Oregon, with brief periods in California, Hawaii, and Texas. She was generous with her time, serving as choir director, worship leader, and in church leadership for several churches during her life. Dorothy was a dedicated and loving spouse and mother, always patient in the face of the challenges of raising a large family. She enjoyed life, with interests that included camping, hiking, mission work, music, singing in women’s chorales (the Sweet Adelines, the Capital Choralaires), reading, sketching and painting, sewing, decorating, and antiquing.
Dorothy was preceded in death by both parents, husband George, older brother Dick, and one grandson.
Dorothy is survived by sisters Alicia, Sharon, brother Andy, her 7 children and spouses: Kathy (Rick Byers), Kevin (Sissy), Scott (Tammy), Marty (Katy), Robin (Will Perkins), Cammy (Daniel Monroy), Holly (Arturo Monroy), 17 grandchildren plus spouses, and 8 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held February 15th at the Mountain View Church in Aumsville, Oregon with fellowship to follow.
