Janise Eleanor Aplington

Janise Eleanor Aplington was born June 16, 1928 in Minot, North Dakota and passed away November 12, 2025 in Keizer, Oregon. She was 97 years old. Janise was the daughter of George A. Parsons and Vera T. Parsons.

Janise married her Junior High sweetheart, Herb Aplington, on September 10, 1947. They had been married almost 74 years when Herb passed away in 2021.

Janise is survived by her three children, Linda D. Darst (David), Pamela K. Ottele, and Michael D. Aplington (Rose), and her sister Deanna Powell. At the time of Janise’s passing she had six Grandchildren, twelve Great Grandchildren, and four Great Great Grandchildren.

Janise loved to crochet and knit and was known for knitting Christmas stockings for her family and friends. She loved camping with her family and enjoyed painting ceramics and giving them away as gifts. She also loved to bake and her recipes have been handed down through the family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Herb Aplington, parents, George and Vera Parsons, and her brother Duane Parsons.

The family would like to thank The Arbor at Avamere Memory Care in Keizer for the excellent care they gave our Mom. We would also like to thank Beloved Hospice for the amazing staff that cared for Mom.

In accordance with Mom’s wishes there will be no memorial services held. She will be interred at Belcrest Memorial Park beside her husband.
