John was born October 31, 1935 in Parks, Arkansas to John & Ruby (Gipson) Nunley. He married Jeroldine Helms in 1956. Together they raised three children.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Eugene; and two of his sisters, Gladys and Sarah. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeri; his children, Donna, Lonnie, and Terry; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Louise and Mildred.
A visitation for John will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen Funeral Home, Salem. A funeral service will occur on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 12:00pm, also at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen. John will be laid to rest at Belcrest Memorial Park.
