Julie was a ‘doer’ and very active in every community that her and her husband Dan were a part of. Married almost 45 years; they lived in California, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Ohio, and Oregon over the years and were involved members in all of their church families.
A whiz with numbers and organization she frequently did the accounting for people and would have an excel spreadsheet ready the moment you started to plan a family reunion. She also had a passion for arts, crafts and decorating - as anyone who’s seen her home can attest to. Her ability to turn a house into a home was magical. You can be sure she’ll be pushing couches around her dream home in heaven with her sister Ruby.
Julie loved being a mom and would tell you some of her greatest joy came from raising her two girls Nicole and Christine in Colorado with Dan. She dove into being a grandmother with as much passion as parenting and had an active role in her grandkids lives. She introduced her girls to many outdoor experiences growing up and just months before her passing was riding quads, walking along the beach and paddleboarding with her grandkids in the mountains.
Julie was always the first to say “yes!” to helping anyone, a new adventure or just babysitting her grandkids. Her legacy will carry on forever reminding us to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service toward one another in Christ.
