

Ken Nolan (1940-2024) was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a true gentleman. From humble beginnings, Ken dedicated his life to his family. Ken was born and raised in Philadelphia with his four siblings. He served in the US Navy and graduated from Penn State University. While working for the Forest Service, Ken fell in love with the Northwest and ultimately settled in Oregon where he started a family.
Ken was a successful homebuilder and developer and was dedicated to lifelong learning. He studied multiple languages, mastered cooking, became a pilot, was an avid wood worker, played multiple instruments, built classical guitars, and restored a 1967 VW bug.
Dedicated to his community, Ken served on the Marion County Planning Commission and was deeply involved with the Home Builders Association, serving as the president in 1972 and 1991.
Ken will be remembered for the many stories and jokes told around the dinner table with family and friends. He loved cooking and sharing his creations with others, while wearing his Bugs Bunny apron.
Ken is survived by his wife Mickey, son Chris (Gina), daughter Stefanie (Brett), three grandchildren Riley, Will and Sofie, siblings Rosemary, Don and Greg and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Kathleen.
