Kiriaki Koutis Milmore

Kiriaki (Kiki) Koutis Milmore, born March 15, 1942, in foreign-occupied Kastraki Greece, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026 in Gresham, Oregon. Her early life was scarred with strife caused by WWII, the Greek civil war, and the post war reconstruction. She lived a life defined by resilience, devotion to family, and the friendships she cherished throughout the years.

As a middle child of six, Kiki had three brothers and two sisters in a close-knit Greek family. She carried that strong sense of family with her throughout her life. She left home as a young adult, living in Switzerland for several years where she worked in a large factory cafeteria. In 1968 Kiki followed her sister and brother, immigrating from Greece to the United States and built a life centered on hard work, faith, and raising her family. Kiki was married to Frank Milmore from 1971 until 1980, proudly and lovingly raising her three sons, who remained the center of her world.

Kiki worked for 39 years at the McKay High School cafeteria in Salem, Oregon, where her hard work and dedication touched countless students and coworkers. She loved being the “lunch lady” for all 3 of her children in high school.

She found great joy in her church community, social groups, and lively Bunco gatherings with friends. Kiki also had a special love for animals, especially cats, which brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life.

Kiki’s great joy was her family. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers. She is survived by two sisters, Viola Shaffer and Mary Pannas, three sons, Arthur Milmore (Joanne), Benno Milmore (Amber) and Daniel Milmore (Laura), nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her strength, devotion and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Kiki’s life will be held on August 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Wood Village Baptist Church, located at 23601 NE Arata Rd, Wood Village, OR 97060.
