

Linda Beerbower, age 75, of Salem, Oregon, peacefully passed away November 29, 2023. Linda was born July 4, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Darrel and Arlene Beerbower. The family moved to Salem, Oregon in 1950. Linda grew up in the Englewood district and graduated from North Salem High School in 1966. She and Loyal Kuhn married and divorced in the 1970’s and Linda resumed her name of Beerbower. Her career was secretarial, mostly in medical records and transcription in doctor offices and the Salem Hospital Home Health Department and Providence Home Services in Mt. Angel. She enjoyed her co-workers so much and continued with many of those friendships after retiring.
Linda was a member of the Salem Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary since 1981. She served on the officers board and became president in 1990-91 and again in 2019-20. She was also a member of their drill team and enjoyed many events and fundraising. Her last involvement in fundraising was in 2019-20 for the DARE program in Gervais, Oregon.
Linda grew up going to Englewood United Methodist Church and was a member of their choir and various bible study groups. She continued to attend often until the church closed in 2019. She was occasionally the liturgist and wrote articles for the monthly newsletter, The Echo.
Linda enjoyed camping and fishing trips with her parents and sister and she loved music. She played the piano and went to all kinds of concerts in the area and once she discovered Facebook she became an avid communicator. Linda was a talented seamstress, an excellent cook, loved to bake and had a great sense of humor. She was a wonderful friend to everyone and an awesome and loving sister who will be treasured and missed forever. Linda handled various health conditions over the years with faith, grace and true strength until God called her home. Linda is predeceased by her parents and survived by her sister, Cathy Day (husband Wayne). No services are planned at this time.
