Opal was a wonderful homemaker and served as a teacher and superintendent of children in her church’s Sunday school program. She worked at Sears, Moody Institute of Science and retired in 1981 from the Los Angeles School District. In that year she moved to Salemtown and later Capitol Manor, where she resided the last 22 years.
She is survived by her sons Dale (Janice), Keith (Diane), grandsons Wayne, Craig, Troy and Bobby and 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9 at 2:00 PM in the auditorium of Capitol Manor. She was laid to rest next to her beloved husband and parents in Inglewood, CA.
