Richard Matcham Moreno, Sr.

Richard was born on August 14, 1933 and was the son of Transito and Lucy Moreno. He was the brother of Herb, Rudy, Dave, Margie, Petra and Transito Jr. 

Richard was a Navy Veteran.  He was proud to serve in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and loved his country.

He was married to his first wife Arlene and had four children. Richard was married to his second wife Jessie, who is deceased.

He loved his family deeply.  He was always willing to look you in the eyes and say I love you. He had a big heart filled with love for all his family. Richard has four surviving children, Renee, Ricarda, Regina and Richard Jr.  They will miss their father dearly. He was a wonderful grandfather.  He brought joy and laughter to his six biological grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, six of which are survived. He was Uncle Richard to many nieces and nephews and is fondly remembered by them.

Richard worked hard for his family and loved them deeply.  He was a kind and funny man who gathered life-long friendships throughout his nearly 88 years.  Richard was a proud and big-hearted person who was always eager to help and support others with an open heart.

He was always ready with a joke followed by his own big laugh. His smile was unforgettable because his eyes twinkled when he smiled. He loved popcorn, camping and fishing with friends and family.
