Robert William Gebhardt Sr.

Bob was born in Washington, D.C. on July 17, 1937, attended St. John’s College High School, served proudly in the United States Marine Corps, and loved playing the guitar and working on his golf game through the years. He relocated and raised his family in Hawaii, where he worked for over two decades for the Hawaiian Electric Company in Honolulu. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Gebhardt; mother, Marion Gebhardt; and siblings: Charles, Russell, Richard, Alan, and Mitzi.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lolita; children, Bob, Jr. (Julie), Lori, Sheri (Ron), and Bryan (Sheila); and grandchildren (Bob Jr) Kenny, Alison, Heidi; (Lori) Preston; (Sheri) Aaron, Ciara; and (Bryan) Alyssa, Brooke, & Paige.

Family and friends will meet at 10:30 AM at Boone Ridge Senior Living Center, 2950 Boone Rd SE, Salem OR on Monday, September 1, 2025, for a celebration of life. Internment timing and location will be determined at a later date. Those wishing to honor Bob’s memory are asked to consider donations to the United States Golf Association or Salem Alliance Church.
