Robert “Bob” Rambo was born in Salem and lived here his whole life. We lost him on October 18, 2021 at the young age of 62. He graduated from North Salem High School and went to work for Roth’s Fresh Markets where he worked for 43 years. This past year he was driving a bus for Salem-Keizer Schools. He had also been a volunteer with Marion County Fire for over 20 years. He married his wife Joni Young in 1985.
Bob always put family first and was very proud of his kids accomplishments. Bob loved sports, especially watching his kids or his favorite team, the Oregon State Beavers. A most treasured event was taking Bryce to the NCAA Baseball World Series where the Beavers won the title. He also had completed three marathons.
He is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Joni Young, daughter Peyton, son, Bryce, brother Charles, and sister Sharon. He was preceded in death by his parents Clay and Ione Rambo.
Bob was always a kind and loyal person, who was hardworking and trustworthy. He will be missed by many, especially his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elks Lodge, 4250 Cherry Ave. NE, Keizer on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, a contribution toward Bryce’s and Peyton’s college education would be appreciated at Columbia Bank acct. #1998599. Joni would cherish any handwritten notes about fond memories of Bob. [email protected] for questions
