Sandra "Sandy" Lee Berry (nee Tait) "N7TQQ" peacefully passed away on Saturday May 14, 2022 at home on her 77th birthday.

Sandy was the daughter of Paul and Lillian Tait. She was born May 14, 1945 in Joliet, Illinois, the youngest daughter of the couple's five children. She attended Hammond High School in Hammond, Indiana.

She married William Lee Berry on July 22, 1990 in Reno, Nevada. The couple made their home in Salem, Oregon for the last 32 years.

Sandy was very active and involved in Amatuer Radio. She had achieved her Extra Class License and was known within the Ham Radio community as N7TQQ. During her time as a ham radio operator she participated in numerous field day events, ham fairs, swap meets, conventions and provided ham radio communications for local charity events. She was also a local area net operator for many years. Sandy was instrumental in bringing Ham Radio classes and testing to the Salem area and in her years as a test administrator she assisted hundreds of people in earning their Licenses.

Before Sandy was involved in Amateur Radio she had developed a love for league bowling. She held many offices within the Women's International Bowling Congress (WIBC). She competed and placed in several tournaments and had achieved the coveted perfect 300 game during her time in her membership to WIBC. She also was active in coaching and mentoring the Youth Bowling leagues in Kingman, Arizona.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, William "Bill" Berry of Salem, Oregon. Her daughters: Lisa (Mike) Branum of St. George, Utah, Patricia (Monty) Weber of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Bobbie Lynne Albany of Muscatine, Iowa. Five step-sons Weber (Amber) Berry of Salem, Oregon, William "Bill" (Tonya) Berry of Salem, Oregon, Edward (Miranda) Berry of Arcadia, Missouri, Raymond "Butch" (Laura) Berry of Salem, Oregon and Thomas Berry of Salem, Oregon. 25 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Paul Tait and Lillian Schultz, her sisters Betty Tait, Genevieve Holmes, Shirley Smith, Bonnie Basham and a half-brother Arden Schultz.

No services will be held in accordance with the decedent's wishes.
