Tania Hubbard

Tania Lee Hubbard, 88, passed away on September 29, 2023 in Salem, Oregon. She was born on June 5, 1935 in Santa Cruz, California to her parents Fern and Clifford. Early on, she moved around considerably as her father worked for the railroad. She met her high school sweetheart, Walt Hubbard, at Los Gatos high school, where Tania finished her last year while her husband joined the Navy and left for Japan. Tania and Walt were married on June 26, 1951 in Reno, Nevada.

She called many places home over the years, first coming to Oregon in 1968, where she lived in West Linn, then moving to Colorado, and back to California for a time before finally settling in Salem, Oregon in 1978. She had a long and rewarding career with the Oregon Department of Justice where she was an accountant for 18 ½ years, retiring in 1998.

Tania is loved and survived by her sons, Walter Hubbard Jr., Timothy Hubbard (Barb), David Hubbard, and Michael Hubbard (Wendy) as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services for Tania Lee Hubbard will be held on Thursday, October 12, 11:00 am at Belcrest Memorial Park,South Salem, in the mausoleum. More information can be found on Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service’s website.
