January 13, 1979 - May 23, 2015
Born in Salem, Oregon, Travis was the only child of Daniel J and Barbara Lane. Travis grew up and lived in Salem where he attended McKay High School. Travis tragically lost both parents a few years apart from one another in early 2000. It was God, family and Travis’s amazing friends, the Hammond's, who helped Travis through this difficult season in his life.
Travis loved God, music, the Portland Trail Blazers, Mountain Dew, walking and talking. Travis had one of the biggest hearts you’ll ever find. Although he didn’t possess much by the world’s standards, what he had he would freely share with anyone in need.away. Travis loved his church family, Hope Point Church of Salem, where he was an active member.
Travis’ life was tragically cut short when walking home in the early hours of Saturday, May 23rd, with a Mountain Dew in hand, he was hit and killed by vehicle at the age of 36 years old.
Travis is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him along with some very special friends who took him under their wings over the years and loved him unconditionally as if he was one of their own… because he was.
