Virginia Ruth McDonald, avid traveler, reached her final destination on August 17, 2012. She was dearly loved by all who knew her.
Virginia was born November 28, 1924 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Robert and Gladys Allen. She met her future husband, Theo, in high school after trading smiles in the hallway. They later married in 1944. She loved to sew and even taught classes for the 4H Club. She was a kind and caring mother who loved to cook and travel the globe. Camping wasn’t her favorite, but she endured it to fish.
Preceding her in death is the love of her life, husband, Theo H. McDonald and brother, Raymond Allen. She is survived by son, Spencer (Alice) MacDonald of Salem OR; daughter, Allyson (Jess) Hamby of Beaverton OR; granddaughters, Shannon (Devin) MacDonald-Johnston of Salem OR, Erin Hamby of Las Vegas NV, Megan Hamby of San Francisco CA, and great-grandchildren, Greenleigh and Ryersen Johnston.
