Wanda was born on September 25,1929, in Guymon, Oklahoma to Cecil and Ona Gum. She
had 3 siblings, all who preceded her death.
Her family moved to Brooks, Oregon when Wanda was 6 years old, and she lived in the
Salem,Oregon area for the rest of her life.
Wanda married William (Babe) Meithof in a double ceremony with her brother, Cecil, and
William’s sister Evelyn in 1946, in Salem, OR.
She was the mother of four children; Bruce, Rolland, Shirley and Steve.
Wanda worked for, and retired from the State of Oregon (SAIF).
After being widowed in 1980, Wanda married Dohrman (Bud) Shaw and they were married for
25 years. Bud and Wanda enjoyed a very adventurous lifestyle, traveling in their R.V. They
loved hunting, fishing, crabbing, dice and card games, and making many friends along the way.
Wanda enjoyed crocheting, needlework, crafting and jewelry making.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley(Bill). She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud
and her 3 sons.
Wanda was loved and will be missed by 11 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
The service will be held December 16, 2024 at 11:00 at Belcrest Cemetery in Salem.
