He was born. May 24th, 1962, in Northridge Hospital to Bonnie Haller and William Biede, Sr. Bill went to high school in California, then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17. He was stationed in Okinawa, and then at 29 Palms. When he got out he went to Pearce College in California.
Bill moved to Oregon, where he met his wife Kathy. They were married on September 12,1998, and celebrated their 25th Anniversary this year. They resided in Aumsville, Oregon.
Bill worked at Meier & Frank in Salem as a Loss Prevention Manager, then Roth's IGA as an Ordering Manager before he started at UPS, where he became a Driver. He was with UPS for the last 19 years, and had his route in Aumsville. Bill loved his job, and being a part of the community.
Bill enjoyed BBQing, camping, and backpacking. He took a month off in 2018 to hike on the Pacific Crest Trail where he earned the trail name "Sideshow Bob" due to his wild and curly hair on the trail.
He also delighted in planning family vacations and driving an RV full of brothers-in-law to various National Parks. But most of all, Bill loved traveling with his wife to Disneyland, or relaxing on a tropical beach.
Bill is survived by his wife Kathy of Aumsville, Daughter Amy and her husband Joel of Eagle Point, his brother Robert Biede, his sister Holly Murphy, nephew Banning Biede, aunt Kathleen Kelly, a sister-in-law, and six brothers-in-law who liked to remind him "You married us all, Bill."
There will be a Celebration of Life Sunday, October 8th at 11:00 am in the Aumsville Community Center at 555 Main Street, Aumsville, Oregon.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at OHSU for your compassionate care. Thank you to all our friends and neighbors in the Aumsville community, and to Bill's co-workers at UPS for all of your love and support.
In lieu of flowers, please give an extra dog biscuit to your dogs from Bill.
