Beverly, “Bev,” was born August 9, 1947 in Bradfordsville, KY, where she spent time enjoying small town living with her parents and many siblings.
On January 18, 2021, Bev took her last earthly breath and passed away in Payson, UT, with her daughter Brandi by her side.
Bev married Ronald James January 24, 1969. Together, they raised three beautiful girls, Stacy, Malissa and Brandi. Ronald passed in February 22, 2009.
Bev loved to cook, and she would spend time looking for new recipes to try. She could always be found watching the food network while flipping through cooking magazines. Whatever she chose to cook would always turn out divine, as she had an incredible talent in the kitchen. She also loved to explore ghost towns with her daughter, Brandi and granddaughter Lexi, go for scenic drives, and drive to lesser taken roads in hopes to find wildlife.
Bev worked for Northrop Grumman for over 30 years, retiring in West Jordan to spend time with her family and pups. She was a loyal employee and extremely hard working, doing all she could to support her family. Bev was a fantastic mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. It is rare to meet such a strong and resilient person, and she left an impact on those that crossed her path.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Charles Bright; husband, Ronald Martin; daughter, Malissa Bench; sister, Dorothy Stahl; and brother Winston Bright.
She is survived by daughter Brandi, granddaughter Lexington; daughter Stacy (Brian) Gygi and grandson, Logan; and grandson, Christoper.
Siblings: Ronnie (Sheila), Bradley (Sylvia), Steven (Amber), Laddie (Toni), Rick, Marty (Darlene), Barry (Sherry), and Kristie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members that loved her dearly.
Special thanks to Tyler and Erika Barney for their loving approach and caring nature that proved to be incredibly helpful these last few years. Also to the staff at Payson Regional Dialysis Center who work tirelessly to make dialysis patients as comfortable as they can be. There are many wonderful, caring and loving healthcare professionals that played a role in Bev’s life, and for them, we are truly grateful.
Services for our beloved Bev will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11:00 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary with a viewing 1 hour prior. Interment will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
