

Our beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather Kay L. Peterson, passed away on December 25, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Salt Lake City, Ut on May 8, 1950 to James Edward Peterson and Shirley Mae Eagan.
He is survived by his wife Sandi Thomson Peterson, children Holli (Christopher) Hart, Heather (Joey) Snow Seattle, WA, Thomas (Emilie) Peterson, Jami Peterson (Kenneth), brothers Steven and Jimmy, and Sister Debbie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Greg Peterson and his nephew Craig Peterson.
Kay graduated from Granite High School where he lettered in track. He then served an LDS Mission in the Gulf States Mission. When he returned he attended Salt Lake Community College. He married wife Sandi on November 9,1972 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Kay was a Union Sheet Metal Journeyman for over 30 years. His work included building baptismal fonts for several temples in the US and Mexico. He was an avid outdoors man and scouter, on the Eagle Board of Review, and earned The Silver Beaver award. He had an amazing talent in restoring old furniture and loved wood working. He made the best homemade candy, especially fudge.
He was known to his grandkids as “Poppy”; Makenzie, Maggie, Tayden, Azariah, and one on the way.

Visitation Tuesday December 29, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
