Sally Brooks

Sally Brooks, age 98, of Salt Lake City, Utah died October 6, 2015.

As a young woman, she moved from Omaha, Nebraska to Salt Lake City, Utah where over the years, worked at Sweets Candy Company, Auebachs Department Store, Castleton’s Clothing Company and Dan’s Supermarket bakery.

It was in Salt Lake City where she married her wonderful, caring husband, Curt Brooks, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Like some many at that time, Sally grew up in a large, hard-working class family. Longing for a home she could be proud of, as well as a loving family of her own, was her desire that she fulfilled and honored until her death.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Brooks of Forest Hills, New York and Karen Brooks (Fred Spencer) of Park City, Utah.

Graveside service will take place at Montefiore Cemetery on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 1:00p.m. As per Sally’s desire there will be no reception.
