

Sheila Margaret Hanley was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, July 31, 1930, the daughter of the late Francis and Stella (Veniot) Hanley. She was the 5th of 10 children-three brothers and six sisters; Peter, Dorothy, Joan, Frank, Bernice, Leo, Maureen, Patricia and Mary.
She moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada as a teenager and met her beloved husband Owen there after World War II. They were married in 1952. In 1955, they immigrated to the United States and settled in Los Angeles, California.
Sheila and Owen had their first and only daughter Deborah in 1957. Sheila was a working mother from 1960 on. She worked at National Cash Register-NCR until they were purchased by Control Data Corporation-CDC and continued working there for many years.
In 1985, Sheila retired after working for over 25 years. Sheila and Owen moved to San Diego, to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren, she resided there until 2017, when she relocated to Utah.
Sheila enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and volunteering at church. She also spent many hours watching her grandchildren play various sports. She loved children and was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
